MicroStation XM, V8, V7, & PowerDraft Training Courses & Tutorials Through Distance-Education

The cost-effective and productive way to learn MicroStation

What is Distance-Education?
Distance-education is a very effective form of independent study for those who cannot attend on-campus or in-house classes because of distance or employment commitments. The flexibility to learn by yourself allows you to complete courses at times and locations suitable to yourself. Learning is accomplished primarily through the course training manuals and is guided by an instructor who answers questions, evaluates, and provides essential feedback.

Distance-education has several advantages:

You work at your own speed at times convenient to you.
It is very cost-effective (approximately 10% to 20% the cost of dealer in-house training).
You learn incrementally and you can easily review and practice difficult concepts.
Essential feedback and problem solving from your instructor.

What do I need to participate in Distance-Education?

Have access to a computer and an Internet connection.
Have access to MicroStation software versions XM, V8 or V7 (95, SE, or J), or free PowerDraft software.
Be self-motivated, able to manage your time successfully, and be prepared to take responsibility for your own learning.
Be willing to commit three to four hours or more per week to complete each course.
What do I receive on completing courses through Micro-Press.com?
On successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Micro-Press.com.

What do I have to do to complete a course?
Each course is self-paced using the training manuals. You work through each Module, contacting your instructor for help as needed. Your progess is evaluated by a series of short quizzes and three or more drawing assignments.

How long is each course and when do they start?
Course taken through Micro-Press.com are open-ended, (but we suggest you set a specific end date), and you can start anytime.

What are the course contents?
The courses follow the content of the Micro-Press.com MicroStation Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Training Manuals. Click here to see the Level 1 contents, click here to see the Level 2 contents, and click here to see the Level 3 contents (a new page may open in your browser).
