Our eBook pdf files are encrypted and cannot be opened without an access code. You will receive an email from CBProtect and from us for each product you purchase which provides the Access Code for your product.
To register the product simply double-click on the downloaded file and enter the Access Code when prompted. The eBook pdf is then unlocked and you can open and read it as often as you like. The eBook files can only be installed on one computer which must be connected to the internet.
Please note that you can only print an eBook from the computer on which it is registered. eBooks cannot be installed on a removable disk. Please plan ahead if you intend to use a printer not normally attached to the computer that contains the registered eBook.
If you are behind a corporate or government firewall you may have difficulty registering an eBook because eBook files have a .exe extension. Please contact your IT department or contact us for more information.
To maintain our copyright security, your eBook requires a validation with CBProtect at monthly intervals. This is done automatically at the appropriate date when you open the eBook and requires no action on your part. (If you use the recent full versions of MicroStation you are likely already familiar with this licensing concept.)
Be assured that your personal information is safe. No personal information is recorded other than your email address which you have already used to purchase our eBooks.
If you are running Windows Vista, you must be logged in as admin or have demonstrative access rights to unlock the eBooks. |
